Photo Series

The Covid pandemic sparked my interest in investigating the relationship with our immediate nature which resulted in the photo series ‘In Touch with the Forest’.

I decided to look further and quite literally into the topic of ‘getting in touch’ with the forest. In terms of style and implementation, I based the photo series on the Japanese aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi. Furthermore, I experimented with shooting digitally but also with analogue and expired film, standing in front of the camera myself, and working with models.

For the End of Year Show of MKD Linz I presented selected photographs, in an exhibition in a forest. Due to the pandemic the photographs were filmed and shown in a film.

The photoseries was presented in ‘Odyssee Extended Cut’ – a film entirely produced by students of the MKD 2021. It screened at the cinema Central in Linz, Austria, for 2021’s End of Year show. Furthermore, the photoseries was included in 2021’s print publication.
